She completed her training with an Oncoplastic Fellowship in Sheffield. She was coerced into becoming Secretary of the RPS in 2016/2017 by the President at the time Steve Courtney who was one of her colleagues in Breast surgery. The role was somewhat undersold to her and incorporated the role of treasurer and general organiser, but she took it on and set to on making changes. Nikki became Clinical lead of the Breast Surgery department in January 2019 and has led the service through many changes.
